What I learned and appreciated from the moose mamas internship, Meghan

I was able to expand my knowledge in wildlife rehabilitation by experiencing the intensive care involved in raising the calves. Dana is an extraordinary mentor that has so much knowledge about calf care and the maternal instincts to raise the calves successfully. I created lasting friendships with my fellow interns that I now regard as family . To be a rockstar moose mama you can't be afraid of working hard everyday, compromise and around the clock care so that each calf can grow up healthy and successfully! I will forever cherish my memories of bottle feeding the babies everyday and watching them grow and develop before my eyes (and the collection of browse everyday which unleashed my inner arborist!).
