Where do I start? I had recently retired from 29 years of dog grooming and felt that my life was uncertain. My husband told me “hey you should really meet this gal that moved in next door.” So I went over and met Dana. It was like we’ve known each other all our lives. Then the babies started showing up. It was such an eye opening experience. The babies truly capture all of our hearts. I’ve learned they have their own personalities and are smarter than people give them credit. It’s a 24/7 job caring for these orphaned moose calves, but it’s so worth.  Words can’t describe all the emotions when we release them back in the wild. Yes, there were tears, but it is so amazing to see them walking off into the trees…stopping to look back one more time as if they were saying “thank you mama’s” then they trot off to their new life of freedom.  Working at Vet clinics before becoming a groomer, I rescued a lot of animals. Dana and I share the same compassionate heart for animals . It truly takes a village to raise these babies and it has formed many long lasting friends. I’m so thankful this program fell into my lap at a most crucial time in my life. You could say God defiantly had a hand in that.
